ERCOT Issues Final Determination On Notification Of Suspension Of Operations For Garland Unit

ERCOT issued an initial and final determination that the generation resource City of Garland – GIBCRK_GIB_CRG1 is not required to support ERCOT transmission system reliability.

This generation resource may be mothballed according to the schedule in an updated Notification of Suspension of Operations filed by Garland.

On July 26, 2017, ERCOT had received an updated Notification of Suspension of Operations (NSO) for City of Garland – GIBCRK_GIB_CRG1, which indicated that the generation resource would be mothballed for a period of not less than seven (7) months and not greater than eight (8) months. The proposed effective date for the suspension is October 17, 2017.
