Staff of the Public Utility Commission of Texas have filed recommended fees to be allocated to retail electric providers and other companies to cover the cost of broadcasting PUCT meetings online for FY 2018.

PURA provides that a retail electric provider that serves more than 250,000 customers shall be subject to such an assessment.

Staff recommends the following fees be assigned to subject REPs:

Ambit Texas $5,632
Direct Energy $3,202
Green Mountain Energy $5,351
Just Energy $3,415
Reliant Energy $20,335
Stream Energy $4,140
TXU Energy $21,525

There is no change in the number of REPs, or specific REPs, that would be subject to the assessment versus last year

Also of note, Staff recommends the following assessments to generators:

Luminant $27,086
Calpine $15,215
NRG Energy $21,300

The assessment applies to a power generation company (PGC) that owns more than 5,000 megawatts of installed capacity in Texas. There is no change in the number of PGCs, or specific PGCs, that would be subject to the assessment versus last year
