XOOM Energy, LLC through its family of retail suppliers (XOOM Energy) announced further expansion of their energy product offerings to residential customers with the launch of their "SteadyLock" flat bill plan for electricity and natural gas.
XOOM Energy customers who enroll on the SteadyLock plan pay one flat monthly charge for their energy supply, regardless of how much energy they use.
The SteadyLock plans are currently available in select XOOM Energy markets, in Illinois, New Jersey, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and the Canadian province of Alberta.
The amount of the flat monthly charge under the SteadyLock plan will be determined by the customer's premise type and annual historical usage as provided by the local utility. If historical annual usage is over 25,000 kWhs, the customer will not be eligible for the plan. There is no true-up at the end of the term.
At the ComEd service area in Illinois, the XOOM SteadyLock flat price for energy supply for residential electric customers is set forth as follows:
Premise Type - Single Family Home Annual Historic Flat Monthly Charge Usage (kWh) 0-8,999 $54.99 9,000-16,999 $84.99 17,000-24,999 $129.99 Premise Type - Multi-Family Unit Annual Historic Flat Monthly Charge Usage (kWh) 0-7,999 $39.99 8,000-16,999 $69.99 17,000-24,999 $114.99
An early termination fee of $50 applies to the SteadyLock plan at ComEd
