Massachusetts Default Service Rates To Decrease 15%

Fitchburg Gas and Electric Light Company d/b/a Unitil has filed with the Massachusetts DPU electric basic service rates for the period beginning June 1, 2018.

The fixed basic service charge for residential customers (RD-1, RD-2) and Small General (GD-1) commercial customers is 10.556¢/kWh for the period June 2018 to November 2018. That's about 15% lower than the current rate of 12.340¢/kWh

Additional rates are below; the rates remain subject to DPU approval. All listed rates include the current Basic Service Costs Adder of $0.00570/kWh effective December 1, 2017.
