Direct Energy Bundling Amazon Echo Dot With Two Texas Electric Plans

Direct Energy is now offering an Amazon Echo Dot to Texas residential customers enrolling in two new power plans, at no additional charge

Direct Energy's Power on Command, a 24-month fixed rate, and Weekends on Command, a free weekends plan, both include an Amazon Echo Dot at no additional charge

In the Oncor service area, Direct Energy's Power on Command is a 24-month fixed rate with an average all-in rate, at 1,000 kWh, of 10.9¢/kWh, reflecting a fixed energy charge of 6.6¢/kWh, a base charge of $4.95, and Oncor charges of $3.49 per month and 3.456¢/kWh

In the Oncor service area, Direct Energy's Weekends on Command is classified as an indexed product with a 24-month term, with an average all-in rate, at 1,000 kWh, of 11.3¢/kWh, reflecting a fixed energy charge of 11.8¢/kWh for the period Monday 12:00 a.m. thru Friday until 5:59 p.m., a fixed 0¢/kWh energy charge for all other hours (weekends/free period), a base charge of $4.95, and TDU charges of $3.49 per month and 3.456¢/kWh; All delivery charges will be prorated and the customer will not be billed for any TDU delivery charges during the designated free period.

A $135 early termination fee applies to both products

Direct Energy said that, soon, Direct Energy customers will be able to link their accounts through the Alexa app through activating the Direct Energy skill that will help customers manage their Direct Energy account
