Texas Governor Greg Abbott has appointed Shelly Botkin to the Public Utility Commission of Texas (PUC) for a term set to expire on September 1, 2019.
Botkin is director of Corporate Communications and Government Relations for the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT), where she has served since 2010.
Previously, Botkin served as a senior policy analyst at the Texas legislature.
