Retail Supplier Names Electricity Market Vet As COO

First Point Power has appointed Stuart Ormsbee as Chief Operating Officer.

Ormsbee will report to Peter Schieffelin, CEO and Founder of First Point Power, and have responsibility for the overall strategic direction of the business, as well as direct responsibility of day to day management of the operations, business development, partnership relations, and regulatory initiatives

Ormsbee most recently was the Director, Marketing and Operations for TransCanada Power Marketing Ltd.

Ormsbee has nearly thirty years of diverse work experience in the electric industry, with expertise in competitive retail and wholesale load servicing operations in New England and PJM. Ormsbee has led diverse teams in cross-disciplinary aspects of marketing, sales, customer service, operations, analytics, contract negotiation, risk management, and regulatory engagement.
