Raiders, Another Nevada Casino Seek To Take Competitive Supply

LV Stadium Events Company, LLC (the "Raiders") has filed a petition with the Nevada PUC to purchase energy, capacity, and/or ancillary services from a provider of new electric resources pursuant to Chapter 704B of the Nevada Revised Statutes and Chapter 704B of the Nevada Administrative Code (in other words, to take competitive supply).

The Raiders recently began construction of Las Vegas Stadium, a world-class NFL stadium project that will be located at 3333 Al Davis Way, Las Vegas, NV 89118, which is within the service territory of Nevada Power Company d/b/a NV Energy. Permanent service will be established in the Raiders' name in phases as construction on the stadium advances.

The Raiders submitted a load summary, based upon numerous projections and assumptions, but which demonstrates that the Raiders will easily meet the 8,760,000 threshold for competitive supply after the commencement date.

For its future permanent supply service, the Raiders have commenced an RFP process necessary to select its ultimate service provider but have not yet made that selection. The process is ongoing and expected to be completed by December 1, 2018.

Separately, Golden Road Motor Inn, Inc. d/b/a Atlantis Casino Resort Spa also recently filed a petition with the Nevada PUC to purchase energy, capacity, and/or ancillary services from a provider of new electric resources pursuant to Chapter 704B of the Nevada Revised Statutes and Chapter 704B of the Nevada Administrative Code

Atlantis said that it has selected Tenaska Power Services Co. as its provider
