Brookfield Renewable Energy Marketing Receives Retail Supplier License, Seeks License In Another State

The Maine PUC granted Brookfield Renewable Energy Marketing US LLC d/b/a Brookfield Renewable a competitive electricity provider license to furnish supplier services to the medium and large customer classes throughout the Central Maine Power Company and Emera Maine-Bangor Hydro District service territories.
As previously reported, Brookfield has applied for retail electric supplier licenses in several additional states, including New York and Maryland
Brookfield has now also applied for a Pennsylvania electric supplier license to serve large commercial (over 25 kW), industrial, and governmental customers at PECO and PPL
In North America, Brookfield affiliates own a hydro and wind portfolio consisting of 8,300 MW located across 29 states and three provinces
