PSC Approves Start Date For New POR Program, Updated POR Discount Rates

The District of Columbia PSC has approved a start date, and updated discount rate, for Washington Gas Light's new purchase of receivables (POR) program
The updated discount rates and start date had been first reported by EnergyChoiceMatters.com in October
The residential POR discount rate is 3.836%, and the non-residential discount rate is 1.392%
POR shall launch on January 2, 2019
The PSC directed WGL to track and report to the Commission all revenues and costs of the POR program at the end of its first year of operation, and annually file discount rate calculations and new tariff pages reflecting the updated discount rates.
WGL shall also file a written report on the status of the program and the number of participating natural gas suppliers within 90 days of the POR program implementation date.
