Direct Energy Expands Free Weekends Product To Two New States

Direct Energy has begun offering its residential Free Power Weekends 12 electricity plan in Washington D.C. and parts of Maryland

Under the plan, customers will not be charged for electricity supply from 6 p.m. on Fridays to 11:59 p.m. on Sundays, and will receive a fixed rate for non-weekend usage

Direct Energy is offering the free weekends plan at Pepco in D.C. and Pepco, Baltimore Gas & Electric, and Delmarva Power in Maryland

The fixed rate that applies for non-weekend usage is as follows ($/kWh):

Pepco-DC        $0.115900  
Pepco-MD        $0.115900  
BGE             $0.109900  
Delmarva-MD     $0.116900 

There is no early termination fee
