New Hampshire Residential, Commercial Default Service Rates To Increase Over 30%

Unitil Energy Systems, Inc. has filed with the New Hampshire PUC new electric default service rates for the period beginning December 1, 2019
Unitil's residential fixed default service rate, including the RPS adder, will be $0.10330 per kWh for the six-month period beginning December 1, 2019. That's 34% higher than the current rate of $0.07714 per kWh
Unitil's residential default service rate under the monthly variable option will be as follows (all rates include RPS adder and are in $/kWh):
Dec-19 $0.12473 Jan-20 $0.11653 Feb-20 $0.11689 Mar-20 $0.10046 Apr-20 $0.06680 May-20 $0.08106
For small commercial customers (G2 and OL Class), Unitil's residential fixed default service rate, including the RPS adder, will be $0.08987 per kWh for the six-month period beginning December 1, 2019. That's 31% higher than the current rate of $0.06872 per kWh
Unitil's small commercial default service rate under the monthly variable option will be as follows (all rates include RPS adder):

Unitil selected NextEra Energy Marketing, LLC as the winning bidder for the small customer (Non-G1) supply requirement (100% share), the medium customer (Non-G1) supply requirement (100% share), and the large customer (G1) supply requirement (100% share). All three transactions are for a period of six months
