Updated: New York ESCO Launches New Brand MyRate Energy Offering "Daily Flat Rate" Electricity Plan

Family Energy, Inc. has launched its new MyRate Energy brand for residential electricity and natural gas customers in New York

The forthcoming use of the MyRate Energy brand had been exclusively first reported by EnergyChoiceMatters.com in August

Among the offers from MyRate Energy are a daily flat rate plan. The daily flat rate plans include a flat price per day with no additional fees.

For residential electric customers at Consolidated Edison, the "MyRate Flat" plan has a daily price of $1.81 per day. Customers are eligible for the flat rate plan if their annual usage does not exceed 12,500 kWh for electricity supply.

For the daily flat rate natural gas plan, customers are eligible if their annual consumption does not exceed 1,500 therms/Ccf for natural gas

The daily flat rate plans are 12 month agreements with no early termination fees

A volumetric variable rate plan is also available

Although service is only offered in New York at this time, a drop down menu on MyRate Energy's website is already populated with Texas, New Jersey, and California as additional states, with the site stating that service in such areas is not available at this time
