PSNH Default Service Rate To Decrease For Residential, Small Commercial Customers

Public Service Company of New Hampshire (Eversource) has filed new energy service (default service) for the six-month period beginning February 1, 2020
All rates in this story reflect the total energy service (default service) rate, including the Base Rate, Reconciliation Adjustment, Renewable Portfolio Standard adder, and Administrative & General adder.
For the Small Customer class, PSNH's proposed default service rate for the six-month period beginning February 1, 2020 is 8.306 cents per kWh, about 6% lower than the current rate of 8.825 cents per kWh
The Small Customer class includes Rates R, R-OTOD, G, G-OTOD, and any outdoor lighting associated with those rates billed under Rates EOL and OL)
For the Large Customer class, PSNH's proposed monthly default service rates are as follows, in $ per kWh:
February 2020 $0.11297 March 2020 $0.08743 April 2020 $0.08196 May 2020 $0.07212 June 2020 $0.06453 July 2020 $0.06899
The Large Customer class includes Rates GV, LG, B, and any outdoor area lighting taken in conjunction with these rates billed under Rate OL
Rates remain subject to PUC approval
In an RFP, H.Q. Energy Services (U.S.) Inc. was awarded 100% of Large Customer group default service load for the period beginning February 1, 2020. NextEra Energy Marketing was awarded 50% of the Small Customer group default service load for the period beginning February 1, 2020. Vitol, Inc. was awarded 50% of the Small Customer group default service load for the period beginning February 1, 2020.
