New Hampshire Residential Default Service Rate To Increase Over 30%; Small Commercial Rate Increasing Nearly 50%

Unitil Energy Systems, Inc. has received approval from the New Hampshire PUC for new electric default service rates for the period beginning December 1, 2020
Unitil's residential fixed default service rate, including the RPS adder, will be $0.09315 per kWh for the six-month period beginning December 1, 2020. This is 33% higher than the current rate of $0.06987 per kWh
Unitil's residential default service rate under the monthly variable option will be as follows (all rates include RPS adder and are in $/kWh):
Dec-20 $0.09007 Jan-21 $0.10711 Feb-21 $0.10878 Mar-21 $0.08842 Apr-21 $0.08060 May-21 $0.07484
For small commercial customers (G2 and OL Class), Unitil's fixed default service rate, including the RPS adder, will be $0.08702 per kWh for the six-month period beginning December 1, 2020. That's nearly 50% higher than the current rate of $0.05874 per kWh
Unitil's small commercial default service rate under the monthly variable option will be as follows (all rates include RPS adder):

Unitil selected NextEra Energy Marketing LLC (NextEra) as the winning bidder for the residential customer group, and Exelon Generation Company, LLC (Exelon) as the winning bidder for the G2, OL, and G1 customer groups. All transactions are for a period of six months
