Algonquin's Liberty Utilities Drops "Utilities" From Name Under Re-branding
Re-branding Of Regulated Utilities, Some Of Which Have Retail Choice Programs, Is Said To Emphasize Focus On Customer

Liberty Utilities ("Liberty" or the "Company"), the regulated services division of Algonquin Power & Utilities Corp. ("APUC", or "Algonquin"), announced that it has launched a refreshed brand under the single name, "Liberty."
Liberty Utilities operates regulated distribution companies with retail choice programs in several states, such as New Hampshire. Such utilities will now simply be known as "Liberty". Furthermore, Algonquin Power operates a competitive generation subsidiary called "Liberty Power" (formerly Algonquin Power).
Algonquin Power & Utilities Corp. and Liberty Utilities are not affiliated with the independent retail supplier Liberty Power Corp. LLC. It does not appear Liberty Power Corp. LLC currently operates in any Liberty Utilities service area's retail choice program.
"The new expression emphasizes the Company's purpose– to demonstrate customer-centricity by sustaining energy and water for life," Liberty Utilities said
Liberty Utilities described the re-branding as, "A new visual identity that reflects a forward-thinking organization."
Liberty Utilities said, "In launching the refreshed brand, the Company is introducing its new 'radiant heart' logo design -- a striking expression of how Liberty is putting its heart where it matters."

Liberty Utilities will be introducing the new look in phases. Customers and communities will see changes beginning in Fall 2020.
