Update: New Retail Supplier Led By Market Vet Discloses Ownership

Polaris Power Services LLC, a start-up retail supplier whose formation was first reported by EnergyChoiceMatters.com last year, filed for market-based rate authority at FERC, and in doing so disclosed ownership and other relevant information

As previously reported, Amir Benisti serves as President of Polaris Power Services

The FERC application further confirms that Benisti is the managing member of Polaris Power, and owns 55% of Polaris Power

The remaining 45% is owned by MDA Consulting LLC (MDA). MDA, a healthcare consulting business, is owned equally by the following three individuals: Akiva Glatzer, David Gamzeh, and Ephram Lahasky ('MDA Owners'). Each of the MDA Owners also holds an officer position with MDA. Apart from what is disclosed in this Application, no other individual holds an officer position with MDA or an ownership interest (or other type of controlling interest) in MDA. None of the MDA Owners holds an officer or director position with any other entity in the energy industry or financial industry. Furthermore, none of the MDA Owners possesses an ownership interest of 10% or more or other type of controlling interest with any other entity in the energy industry or financial industry, Polaris said

Additionally, Saul Horowitz is Senior Advisor to Polaris Power. In the FERC application, Polaris said, "Mr. Horowitz does not hold an officer or director position with any other entity in the energy or financial industry. Furthermore, Mr. Horowitz does not hold an ownership interest (or other type of controlling interest) with any other entity in the energy industry or financial industry."
