NSTAR Residential, Small C&I Default Service Rates Increasing 45%

NSTAR Electric Company d/b/a Eversource Energy filed with the Massachusetts DPU new basic service electricity rates for its Western Massachusetts service territory (WMA), formerly WMECO, for the period beginning January 1, 2022

All rates below reflect the currently effective Basic Service Adders, Renewable Portfolio Standard, Alternative Energy Portfolio Standard, Clean Energy Standard, and Clean Peak Standard Adders

The filed new WMECO fixed residential basic service rate for the period January through June 2022 is 13.702¢/kWh, which is about 45% higher than the current rate of 9.468¢/kWh

The filed new WMECO fixed small C&I basic service rate for the period January through June 2022 is 13.006¢/kWh, which is about 46% higher than the current rate of 8.936¢/kWh

WMECO rates are below in ¢/kWh, and include currently effective Basic Service Adders, Renewable Portfolio Standard, Alternative Energy Portfolio Standard, Clean Energy Standard, and Clean Peak Standard Adders
