Catalyst Power & Gas Seeks License In New State, Notes Potential For Eventual Expansion Of Target Market Segments

Catalyst Power & Gas LLC applied for an Ohio retail electric supplier license to serve all customer classes in all service areas.

In its Ohio application, Catalyst said, "Catalyst intends to focus primarily on serving commercial and industrial customers, but eventually may also develop products for residential customers."

Catalyst's focus to-date has been serving what it has termed the underserved middle-market commercial and industrial end-use customers with energy supply options as well as integrated retail energy and distributed energy solutions

As previously reported, Catalyst Power is a retail energy and distributed energy solutions provider founded in 2020, which received an initial equity backing of up to $60 million from the energy-focused private equity fund BP Energy Partners (BPEP) and Catalyst management
