Utility Files Significant Decrease To Purchase of Receivables Discount Rate

Public Service Company of New Hampshire (PSNH or Eversource) has filed to decrease its residential purchase of receivables discount rate, while filing for a slight increase in the non-residential POR discount

Specifically, PSNH has proposed to set the residential POR discount at 0.399%, to be effective August 1, 2026 through July 31, 2027, down from the current 1.285%

For non-residential customers, PSNH has proposed to set the residential POR discount at 0.370%, to be effective August 1, 2026 through July 31, 2027, up from the current 0.274%

Discussing both discount rates, PSNH said that the changes, "are due primarily to decreases in the uncollectible percentages, lower than estimated total capital costs, and reconciliation of the prior period since the implementation of the POR program in July 2025."

The specific changes in the POR rate components are as follows. Individual components may reflect rounding, the totals reflect PSNH's specific proposal for which approval is sought. Components below are shown as numeric values (not percentages)
