Texas Retail Providers to Relinquish REP Certificates?
10K Energy LLC d/b/a Mission Power (REP Certificate #10189) and True Electric LLC (REP Certificate #10145) each filed at the Public Utility Commission of Texas yesterday to amend each's REP certificate. The entirety of each's REP amendment application was filed under seal, with only a cover letter (each dated October 8, 2014 but stamped as received by the PUCT December 17, 2014), which provided no explanation as to the reason for the amendment filing, publicly filed. However, the two dockets are styled as certificate relinquishment filings: Docket 43985, Application Of 10K Energy LLC To Relinquish Its Retail Electric Provider Certification; and Docket 43986, Application Of True Electric LLC To Relinquish Its Retail Electric Provider Certification. Matters stresses that case style captions should not be taken as dispositive, but we are providing this information given the decision of the companies to file the entirety of their application under seal. As first reported by EnergyChoiceMatters.com, the REPs had transferred their customers to American Light & Power earlier this year

The latest amendment also memorializes the previously reported additions of market veterans Preston Ochsner as CEO and Sam Alsaheb as VP of Sales
