CBRE Formally Files For Massachusetts Broker Licenses
CBRE Inc. formally applied for a Massachusetts electric broker license and a Massachusetts natural gas retail agent license, to serve C&I customers in all service areas. Sprague Operating Resources Re-files For Ohio Natural Gas Supplier License
Sprague Operating Resources LLC has re-filed for an Ohio retail natural gas supplier license as a marketer (supplier) to serve all customer classes in all service areas. As previously reported, Sprague Operating Resources had filed an application for an Ohio gas license last year, but voluntarily withdrew the application. Various Sprague entities are currently licensed as electric brokers/aggregators in Ohio. The Sprague companies supply natural gas to over 33,000 commercial and industrial customers in 13 jurisdictions behind 50 utilities located primarily in the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, and Midwest. The Sprague companies also broker electricity to over 8,000 commercial and industrial customers located primarily in the same territories along with a few other deregulated states.
Maryland PSC Formally Creates Process To Consider Energy Storage Applications; Workgroup Formed For Escrow & Other Obligations
The Maryland PSC has formally created Case 9866 to consider the five applications that the PSC has received seeking the award of energy storage capacity credits (ESCC) in Round 1 of the PSC's solicitation for up to 800 MWs of front-of-the-meter transmission-connected energy storage projects, and to determine which projects, if any, will receive the ESCCs. In response to stakeholder comments, the PSC will also separately initiate a workgroup to consider issues involving the establishment of escrow accounts related to ESCCs, and the standard obligations that a successful applicant for an ESCC award would undertake upon award acceptance. These workgroup meetings will be convened as part of the PC 75 proceeding.
