Start-up "Virtual Energy Broker" Seeks Pennsylvania Natural Gas License
Meter Energy Technologies LLC applied for a Pennsylvania natural gas broker/marketer license to serve all customer classes in all service areas. As first reported by EnergyChoiceMatters.com, Meter Energy Technologies LLC, a start-up, has described itself as a "virtual energy broker", and as using an "AI-powered platform". Texas REP Changes Legal Name
Quext Energy, LLC recently filed at the Texas Secretary of State to change its LLC name to Abundance Energy, LLC. Abundance Energy had previously been a trade name of Quext Energy, LLC, both at the Texas Secretary of State and on the company's REP certificate. Quext Energy, LLC filed at the Texas PUC today what Quext Energy termed a "notification of Name Change". The only part of the REP amendment which was not redacted by Quext Energy was the affidavits required under the amendment; as such, it was unclear if such REP certificate amendment includes any and/or different changes versus the recent update at the Texas Secretary of State
CBRE Formally Files For D.C. Licenses
CBRE, Inc. applied for a District of Columbia electric broker license. For electricity, CBRE, Inc. seeks to serve C&I customers. CBRE is also filing a concurrent application for a District of Columbia natural gas license; a copy of the natural gas application was not available as of publication time. CBRE Inc.'s intent to seek broker licenses in multiple new states had been first reported by EnergyChoiceMatters.com earlier this month (see full details here).
