License Briefs, 4/24/26
Alignegy Seeks Licenses In Massachusetts
Alignegy LLC applied for a Massachusetts electric broker license to serve C&I customers. Alignegy indicated that it is simultaneously seeking a Massachusetts gas retail agent license. Alignegy stated that it currently provides broker services in Illinois, New York, Texas, and Ohio
EnergyNation Modifies Sought Authority In Massachusetts, Re-Files For Pennsylvania Gas License
EnergyNation Solutions LLC filed to modify its pending application for a Massachusetts electric broker license to include service only to Commercial and
Industrial customers (EnergyNation's original application had also included a request for authority to serve residential customers, but EnergyNation is no longer seeking to serve residential customers in MA). As previously reported, EnergyNation Solutions LLC also has a pending application for a Massachusetts gas retail agent license. Separately, EnergyNation Solutions has re-filed for a Pennsylvania natural gas broker/marketer license to serve all customer classes in all service areas. EnergyNation Solutions' prior application for a Pennsylvania gas broker/marketer license was dismissed without prejudice due to EnergyNation not meeting a deadline to correct what the Pa. PUC Secretary termed deficiencies in the prior application filing. EnergyNation Solutions LLC is solely owned by W. Keith Maxwell III.
XL Energy Corp Provides Further Info For Ohio Broker Application
XL Energy Corp, which as first reported by EnergyChoiceMatters.com applied for an Ohio electric broker license earlier this month, made a supplemental filing with the PUC of Ohio indicating that it would serve customers at AEP Ohio, the FirstEnergy utilities, and Duke Energy Ohio (the initial application had only listed AES Ohio and 2 of the FirstEnergy EDCs). Further, while XL Energy Corp specializes in brokering for commercial customers, its filing indicated that the company may seek authority to serve residential customers as well.
EnergySage Seeks Massachusetts License
EnergySage, Inc. applied for a Massachusetts electric broker license to serve residential customers. EnergySage's intent to seek broker licenses in multiple new states was first detailed in EnergyChoiceMatters.com's prior story here (click for full details).
