As part of its remediation plan in response to a Maryland PSC Staff complaint (see related story), Viridian Energy and Staff have agreed to work together on a company-specific code of conduct, "that could potentially be used as a starting point in the development of a generic Code of Conduct for multi-level marketers."
According to Viridian's remediation plan, Staff and the company, "intend to review existing Codes of Conduct and problematic areas based on Maryland's experience in crafting a Maryland-specific Code of Conduct."
"With the Commission's permission, this could be presented in a future collaborative involving additional stakeholders," the remediation plan states.
The code of conduct is apparently still in development, and no pro forma draft was included as part of the remediation plan.
