Viridian Energy Serving Half of Migrated N.J. Households, Passes 150,000 Customer Milestone

Viridian Energy confirmed that it has reached 150,000 active customers after just 20 months of operations.

The 150,000 customer threshold was first reported by Matters earlier this month, in connection with Viridian's Ohio gas supplier application (4/13).

Viridian also reported that it has attained a market share of nearly 50 percent of all New Jersey "households" switching to alternative energy suppliers.

Statewide residential migration in New Jersey is about 200,000 accounts as of February 2011.

Viridian currently operates in 12 markets across five states.
