Constellation Energy has launched a new residential direct mail promotion at Public Service Electric & Gas and Jersey Central Power & Light, with refreshed electric pricing.
As part of the direct mail promotion to 1.3 million customers, Constellation will offer customers a $50 prepaid gift card for enrolling.
Constellation is offering a 15-month and 27-month plan in each service area, with pricing identical in each territory. The plans offer fixed seasonal pricing for the initial 12 or 24 months of the term, respectively.
Under each plan, usage from June though September is fixed at 9.99 cents/kWh (for both summer periods in the case of the 27-month plan). Usage in all other months during the fixed pricing portion of the contract is 10.99 cents/kWh. The final three months of each contract term will be priced at a monthly variable rate.
The products include an early termination fee of $150, but the fee is waived for the first 90 days of service, and also during the variable priced portion of the contract.
Although, as only reported in Matters (4/7), Constellation has started offering residential electric service at Atlantic City Electric, Constellation is not extending the direct mail promotion to the ACE territory at this time.
Constellation said that, to date, more than 23,000 New Jersey residential consumers have signed up with Constellation.
