Pocket Power to Relinquish REP Certificate
Monongahela Communications LLC d/b/a Pocket Power has filed at the PUCT to relinquish its Texas REP certificate. As first reported in Matters, the Pocket Power customers were recently acquired by Apollo Power & Light (9/14). Pocket Power is not currently serving any customers.

ICF International Updates Coal Retirement Forecast
ICF International has released its Integrated Energy Outlook for the third quarter of 2011, which forecasts that the federal Cross State Air Pollution Rule (CSAPR) and proposed federal Air Toxics Rule, coal combustion residuals, and cooling water intake structure standards, "could lead to a total of approximately 50 GW of coal plant retirements, including those retirements announced to date"
