Met-Ed/Penelec Start Sending Customer Referral Letters
Metropolitan Edison Company (Met-Ed) and Pennsylvania Electric (Penelec) have begun mailing more than one million letters to their residential and small commercial customers informing them of current offers for competitive electric supply. The letters are part of a customer referral program partially funded by the utilities, as previously reported by Matters (see 8/2).
UGI Energy Services Now Marketing as UGI EnergyLink
UGI Energy Services has adopted a new business name of UGI EnergyLink, for both electricity and gas. UGI Energy Services has also ceased use of the former Gasmark trade name.

Sales Verification, a provider of third party verification services, has changed its name to TrustedTPV
Pa. OCA Posts Electric Migration Stats as of October 1
The Pennsylvania Office of Consumer Advocate has posted electric migration stats as of October 1, 2011. Although, as only reported by Matters, the PUC now posts weekly stats (most recently as of October 19; see 10/20 story), the OCA stats include a metric not included in the PUC stats: actual MW, in addition to percent, served by competitive suppliers.
