Texas Commissioners Reach Agreement on Prepaid Disclosure Statement, Worksheet
Copyright 2011 EnergyChoiceMatters.com.
PUCT Commissioners have all agreed with Staff's proposed worksheet to be added to the Prepaid Disclosure Statement to address the disclosure of TDU discretionary charges (39357).
As noted by Matters, the worksheet would not require the listing of the TDU fees themselves, but would direct customers to call the REP to obtain the fee information and understand how these will impact their connection balance (whether they will be paid in addition to the balance or subtracted from the initial balance).
See 10/25 story for content of the worksheet
No final vote on the Prepaid Disclosure Statement was taken by the Commission today, in order to allow Staff to draft a final Prepaid Disclosure Statement, with the worksheet, for final review. However, Commissioners do not expect substantive changes before final adoption, and simply wish to review a final, complete product with the worksheet in context prior to a vote.
