Resident Power, a mass market aggregator active in New England, says that it has acquired a sufficient number of participants for its initial aggregation pool in New Hampshire and has begun enrolling customers with competitive suppliers.

A member of the Freedom Energy Logistics family of companies, Resident Power says that it is the first competitive electricity aggregator exclusively focused on residences and small businesses in New Hampshire.

Resident Power has enrolled over 2,000 customers, and in the past two weeks alone has placed more than a thousand customer accounts with an electricity supplier. Savings average 10% versus the proposed Public Service of New Hampshire January rate of 9.57 cents per kWh, Resident Power said.

The initial aggregation was limited to PSNH. Service is expected to be expanded to customers of other utilities in the coming months.

Resident Power is initially focused on New Hampshire and Massachusetts, but is also licensed in Maine (9/27).
