Young Energy to Pay $18,000 to Settle PUCT Staff Compliance Audit

Young Energy would pay $18,000 under a settlement with PUCT Staff to resolve allegations that Young Energy was not in full compliance with 10 provisions of the Substantive Rules (39920).

The allegations resulted from a Staff compliance audit.

Specifically, Staff alleged that Young Energy was not in full compliance with the following:

- P.U.C. SUBST. R. 25.474(d)(5)(I), relating to required authorization disclosures. Staff alleged that Young Energy did not disclose the right of rescission prior to requesting confirmation of a switch request

P.U.C. SUBST. R. 25.474(d)(1), relating to enrollment via the internet. Staff alleged that Young Energy did not include its legal name and certification number on its website.

- P.U.C. SUBST. R. 25.479(c)(2), relating to bill content. Staff alleged that Young Energy used terms on its billing other than the required terms to be used, and Staff alleged that the definitions of these terms were not defined on Young Energy's website.

Prior to settlement, Young Energy corrected all of the alleged deficiencies
