N.H. Electric Cooperative Customers Ask to be Served by National Grid
Over 30 customers have signed a petition filed with the New Hampshire PUC asking that National Grid serve a small section of Plainfield, N.H. currently served New Hampshire Electric Cooperative. The petition states that the electric cooperative's rates, "have gotten out of control," and customers also said that, "the loss of power for large amounts of time has become ridiculous as well." National Grid currently serves parts of Plainfield, with New Hampshire Electric Cooperative and Public Service of New Hampshire also serving sections of the town.
Maryland Sets Hearing on Gap RFP Shortfalls
The Maryland PSC scheduled for December 14 a hearing to address separate petitions from Energy Curtailment Specialists, Inc. and EnerNOC, Inc. to alter their current "gap RFP" demand response contracts with the utilities due to each curtailment service provider's shortfall in meeting the products required under the RFP (see 7/14).
