PJM Reports Amount Load Overpaid in 2009-2011 due to Error

PJM said that the previously reported error (11/15) which resulted in overpayments in Balancing Operating Reserve Lost Opportunity Cost credits paid to generators resulted in total overpayments of approximately $99.7 million over a two-year period (2009-2011), which is the limit for adjusting billing statements. "[W]hen a market participant was overpaid BOR LOC [Balancing Operating Reserve Lost Opportunity Cost] credits, the load-serving entities ('LSEs') which pay BOR charges were assessed and paid greater BOR charges than they should have paid," PJM noted.
