Direct Energy Business announced today that it will begin providing competitive electricity supply services to commercial and industrial customers in the Central Maine Power service territory.
Maine was one of the few states where Direct Energy Business did not inherit an electric supplier license from Strategic Energy, and received its license this summer, as only reported in Matters (7/6).
Affiliate Direct Energy Services, LLC has held a Maine supplier license for several years.
Direct Energy Business said that it will offer commercial and industrial electricity customers a suite of fixed, index and flex products.
"Maine has a presence in competitive energy markets, with the supportive efforts of legislators and utility regulators," said Mike Senff, Vice President North American Sales and Marketing for Direct Energy Business. "We are committed to providing customers across North America with competitive energy choices and are thrilled to be entering the Central Maine Power Market."
