Viridian Energy Reports Maryland Customer Count for October

As of October 31, Viridian Energy was serving 23,387 active electric customers in Maryland, according to a compliance report filed with the PSC.

This compares to 24,087 active electric customers in Maryland as of September 30, 2011, and 24,825 active electric customers in Maryland as of August 31, 2011.

The net loss of 700 Maryland customers during the month of October was despite gross enrollments of 200. Gross enrollments in September had been 215, and gross enrollments in August had been 394.

The October net loss of 700 Maryland customers does compare favorably to the net loss of 738 Maryland customers during the month of September, and the net loss of 1,495 Maryland customers during the month of August.

At BGE, Viridian was serving 16,549 customers as of October 31, versus 17,005 customers as of September 30.

Gross enrollments at BGE during October were 119.

At Pepco, Viridian was serving 6,838 customers as of October 31, versus 7,082 customers as of September 30.

Gross enrollments at Pepco during October were 81.

Viridian said that it had 2,238 active independent associates in Maryland as of October 31.
