Usource Enters New Marketing Partnerships

Usource has entered into three new channel marketing partnerships to promote Usource's energy management and brokerage services to hundreds of potential new customers. The agreements engage St. Marys Area Chamber of Commerce, a major Pennsylvania-based business network with over 275 business members; Empire State Forest Products Association, a 400-business member New York State organization; and SnoCountry.com, a web-based weather and snow-condition information service.

Maryland Revises Long-Term Capacity RFP

The Maryland PSC has issued a revised RFP for 1,500 MW of gas-fired capacity under long-term contracts (Case 9214). Modifications include extending the proposal due date to January 20, 2012; encouraging each respondent to submit two proposals, one for a fixed gas price offering and another proposal for a variable gas price offering; and requiring each respondent to note in its proposal whether it plans to demonstrate its financial strength to construct the new generating facilities by relying on the financial commitment of a parent or other company.
