GDF SUEZ Energy Resources NA announced today that it will begin service to small commercial customers this month under its new Think Energy brand.
GDF SUEZ Energy Resources NA's expansion to small volume customers through GDF Suez Retail Energy Solutions LLC d/b/a Think Energy was exclusively reported by Matters this summer (see 7/27).
Think Energy's initial markets will be Maryland and Massachusetts. Initial offers include fixed products of 12, 18, and 24 months.
A state-by-state rollout into other markets open to retail competition will follow beginning in the first quarter of 2012, GDF SUEZ Energy Resources NA said. As previously reported by Matters, Think Energy has received, or has pending applications for, supplier licenses in all markets where GDF SUEZ Energy Resources NA is currently active, including Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Texas, New York, New Jersey, Maine, Pennsylvania, the District of Columbia, and Ohio.
Think Energy said that it will also be launching a new website, www.mythinkenergy.com, "which will soon feature dynamic, real-time pricing in an easy-to-use process that allows customers to sign up online."
Robert Wilson, President and Chief Executive Officer of GDF SUEZ Energy Resources said, "Think Energy will deliver a broad range of benefits that have largely been unavailable to small businesses, including easy-to-access information presented in a user-friendly way."
