Residential Migration Growth Rebounds at JCPL

Public Service Electric and Gas and Jersey Central Power & Light both saw the rate of residential migration growth increase during the month of November, according to the latest stats on the BGS auction website.

Most notably, the monthly growth in residential migration at JCPL rebounded to 2,500 accounts, from the month-ago growth of only 963 accounts. The monthly growth in residential migration is still below the rate of 5,000 accounts per month seen in the summer.

PSE&G saw residential migration growth increase to 8,500 accounts during November, up from growth of 5,400 accounts during October.

Monthly residential migration growth at Atlantic City Electric was down at 900 accounts for November, versus growth of 1,900 accounts in October.

Readers will note that the number of > 1 MW accounts on competitive supply at PSE&G decreased by 300 during November, versus the October total, at least according to the data included in the monthly BGS data as posted December 16. During this same time, however, the number of distribution accounts in the > 1 MW category is also listed as decreasing, by 550 accounts.
