Ohio Power Company (AEP Ohio) has sought approval from PUCO to implement a Competitive Retail Electric Service (CRES) Consolidated Rate Ready bill format to become effective on February 15, 2012.

There will be no change to existing bill detail or calculations, only a template change. The proposed changes to the CRES Consolidated Rate Ready bill format include:

1. Added 'AEP' and 'CRES' as new line items to differentiate between AEP and CRES adjustments effective in the 2nd quarter of 2012.

2. Added 'AEP Ohio' and 'CRES' to the previous balance due line item to differentiate between AEP and CRES previous balances due, effective in the 2nd quarter of 2012.

3. The words "AEP" and "Supplier" were added to state "AEP Current Charges Due" and "SUPPLIER Current Charges Due", effective 1st quarter of 2012.

4. Added a deposit placement change, effective 2nd quarter of 2012.

5. CRES charges may use up to three lines to include fixed rate, customer charge and monthly charge, effective 1st quarter of 2012.

The changes were filed in Case 11-6017-EL-UNC.
