IntelliGEN Resources to Pay $20,000 to Settle LaaR Shortfall

IntelliGEN Resources LP would pay $20,000 under a settlement with PUCT Staff to resolve Staff's allegations that IntelliGEN violated PURA § 39.151(d) and (j) and P.U.C. SUBST. R. 25.503(f)(2), concerning failure to adhere to Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) Zonal Protocol § 6.10.5.4, relating to the deployment of loads acting as resource (LaaR) on November 3, 2010. According to a stipulated finding of fact, the IntelliGEN LaaR portfolio did not reach the minimum level of at least 95% of its 5 megawatt (MW) obligation within 10 minutes of receiving the Verbal Dispatch Instruction issued by ERCOT, as required.
