Draft Order Would Grant New License to Independence Energy Group

A draft Connecticut PURA decision would grant Independence Energy Group LLC an electric supplier license to serve residential, commercial, and industrial customers. The application had been first reported in Matters (11/9). Independence Energy Group is the network marketing arm of Energy Plus, now a unit of NRG Energy.

RMI Consulting Inc. Seeking Broker Licenses in Multiple States

RMI Consulting Inc. has applied for an Ohio electric broker license to serve commercial, mercantile, and industrial customers in all service areas. RMI Consulting is a wholly owned subsidiary of INTL FCStone Inc., which specializes in commodities advisory and transaction execution. RMI is currently a licensed electricity broker in the states of Maryland and Massachusetts, and said that it is applying for licenses in the following jurisdictions: Delaware, Washington, D.C., Illinois, Maine, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Rhode Island.

Axsess Energy Group, LLC has registered as a New Hampshire natural gas aggregator.
