Green Mountain Energy Receives License to Serve Residential Customers in New State

The Pennsylvania PUC this morning granted Green Mountain Energy Company an expanded electric supplier license to serve all sizes of commercial customers in all service areas, and to serve residential customers in all service areas. The application for an amended license was first reported in Matters (see 12/19). Green Mountain had previously received authorization to serve commercial customers over 25 kW, industrial customers, and governmental customers in all service areas.

City of Cincinnati Applies for Governmental Aggregator Licenses

The City of Cincinnati, Ohio, whose citizens approved electric and natural gas opt-out aggregations on the November ballot, is proceeding with implementation and applied at PUCO for licenses as an electric and gas governmental aggregator. In issuing RFPs for supply, the city will require bidders to submit bids reflecting supply 100% offset by RECs, in addition to standard bids.

TMG Energy Source Receives New License

TMGES, Inc. d/b/a TMG Energy Source received an Ohio electric broker license to serve all customer classes at AEP Ohio and Dayton Power & Light, and commercial, mercantile, and industrial customers at Duke Energy Ohio and the FirstEnergy utilities. The application was first reported in Matters (1/13).

Belden Energy Solutions Receives New License

The Illinois Commerce Commission granted Belden Energy Solutions Inc. an electric agent, broker, and consultant license. The application was first reported in Matters (1/13).
