Decline in Residential Customers on Competitive Supply Continues at PPL

PPL again saw a net decline in the number of customers taking competitive supply, according to the latest statistics from the Pennsylvania PUC.

From February 5 to February 11, PPL saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply decline by 298 accounts. A week-ago comparison is unavailable, but for the two week period from January 22 to February 4, PPL saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply fall by 400.
At PECO, the number of residential customers on competitive supply increased in the most recent week, by 2,200 accounts, about even with the week-ago growth of 2,300 accounts.
Met-Ed saw residential migration grow by 6,300 accounts in the most recent week, up from growth of 3,400 in the immediately prior week.
Penelec saw residential migration grow by 4,900 accounts in the most recent week, up from growth of 3,000 in the immediately prior week.
West Penn Power weekly migration growth was steady at 1,400 accounts.
Duquesne Light saw the weekly residential migration growth rate increase to 1,300 accounts for the most recent week, up from the week-ago 900 accounts.
