The Connecticut Public Utilities Regulatory Authority in a letter to Glacial Energy of New England, Inc. issued this morning indicated that it will issue a Notice of Violation and Assessment of Civil Penalty against Glacial Energy of New England, Inc. later this week.
In a letter discussing Glacial Energy of New England, Inc.'s license renewal, PURA said:
"This license renewal reminder letter should not be construed in any way to be a retraction, stay or mitigation of the Notice of Violation and Assessment of Civil Penalty Against Glacial Energy of New England, Inc. to be issued by the Authority later this week, nor should it be deemed to be the Authority's solicitation, encouragement, approval or acceptance of Glacial's continuing violation of its License and state laws, as fully described in said Notice."
No notice had been issued as of press time, and PURA did not elaborate further as to the specifics of the notice.
If a Notice of Violation is ultimately issued, it would not represent a final order, and Glacial Energy of New England, Inc. would have the right to a request a hearing on the findings.
As no Notice of Violation has yet been issued, Glacial Energy has not seen any Notice of Violation, and could not comment on PURA's letter. Glacial Energy said that it had no customer complaints in Connecticut.
