Reliant Energy Texas Retail Changes Name, Adds Trade Name Independence Energy

Reliant Energy Texas Retail, LLC has sought an amendment to its Texas REP certificate to reflect a change in its legal name to Everything Energy, LLC.
Reliant Energy Texas Retail, LLC holds REP certificate 10178, and the company is distinct from Reliant Energy Retail Services, LLC (certificate 10007), under which Reliant does most of its Texas business.
Everything Energy, LLC also sought to delete the trade names Reliant Energy C&I Services and Reliant Energy Commercial/Industrial Services from the certificate.
In their stead, Everything Energy, LLC applied to use the trade name Independence Energy.
Independence Energy is, of course, also the name of the network marketing arm of Energy Plus Holdings, which is now owned by Reliant parent NRG Energy.
