Duke Energy Ohio Seeks Approval for PIPP Supplier, Reports Bids

Duke Energy Ohio, Inc. has asked the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio for authority to enter into an agreement with BG Energy Merchants to provide competitive natural gas service to the company's Percentage of Income Payment Plan (PIPP) customers.
Under an RFP to serve PIPP load, Duke Energy Ohio asked suppliers to submit a Supplier Bid Credit that would be passed through to the PIPP customers as a discount to the Expected Gas Cost (EGC).
Duke Energy Ohio reported that it received bids for the following Supplier Bid Credits (per Dkt):
BG Energy Merchants: $0.11
Interstate Gas Supply: $0.10
Twin Eagle Resource Management: $0.09
Sequent Energy Management: $0.0815
Iberdrola Renewables: $0.0811
Texican: $0.0725
National Energy & Trade: $0.0711
Atmos Energy Marketing: $0.06
Volunteer Energy Services: $0.05
NJR Energy Services: $0.042
