The Connecticut Public Utilities Regulatory Authority today informed Glacial Energy of New England, Inc. that PURA would not issue a Notice of Violation against the company at this time.

"By letter dated February 28, 2012, the Public Utilities Regulatory Authority (Authority), formerly known as the Department of Public Utility Authority, indicated that it would be promptly issuing a Notice of Violation and Assessment of Civil Penalty against Glacial Energy of New England, Inc. for violation of its electric supplier license and state laws. Upon further review, the Authority determines that the issuance of such Notice is not appropriate at this time. The Authority may contact the Company concerning this issue in the near future," PURA said in a letter posted this morning.
