TriEagle Energy to Pay $36,000 to Settle PUCT Staff Compliance Audit

TriEagle Energy L.P. would pay $36,000 under a settlement with PUCT Staff to resolve allegations that TriEagle Energy was not in full compliance with 19 provisions of the Substantive Rules (40241).
The allegations resulted from a Staff compliance audit.
Specifically, Staff alleged that TriEagle Energy was not in full compliance with the following:
- P.U.C. SUBST. R. 25.475(c)(2)(C) relating to general contracting requirements. Staff alleged that the terms of service (TOS) imposed a 30 day notice requirement to avoid a termination penalty associated with a customer move.
- P.U.C. SUBST. R. 25.475(c)(2)(G) relating to general contracting requirements. Staff alleged that current price, price history, and notice of how to obtain such price information was missing
- P.U.C. SUBST. R. 25.475(f)(2)(C) relating to TOS document. Staff alleged that the TOS did not disclose a payment transaction fee
- P.U.C. SUBST. R. 25.474(d)(5)(I) relating to enrollment via the internet. Staff alleged that the statement regarding the disclosure of the right of rescission was incorrect.
Prior to settlement, TriEagle corrected all of the alleged deficiencies
