GDF SUEZ Approaches International Power With Possible Offer to Acquire Remaining Shares

GDF SUEZ SA confirmed today it has made an approach to the independent directors of International Power regarding a possible cash offer of 390 pence per share for the remaining International Power shares not already held by GDF SUEZ. GDF SUEZ currently owns 70% of International Power shares.

PUC Approves New Supply Rates at Citizens'/Wellsboro

The Pennsylvania PUC approved new Generation Supply Service Rates (GSSR) at Citizens' Electric Co. and Wellsboro Electric Co., effective April 1, 2012. Citizens' Generation Supply Service Rate will be $0.076315 per kWh, an increase of $.005136 per kWh (7.22 percent). Wellsboro's Generation Supply Service Rate will be $.077972 per kWh, a decrease of $.000602 per kWh (0.77 percent).
